SEPATON Bolsters International Presence With China Office Opening; Plans EMEA Office Opening This Quarter

MARLBOROUGH, MA – April 16, 2007 – Extending its U.S. market leadership overseas, SEPATON, Inc. today announced the opening of its first international office located in Beijing, China and unveiled its plan to open an office in London, England this quarter.  Globally, SEPATON provides advanced data protection solutions for disk-to-disk backup and recovery, data de-duplication, and remote replication to more than 500 businesses.  The new office serves the company’s growing Asia Pacific customer base.

Through its new office in China, SEPATON will provide sales management, customer service, technical support, and marketing for its regional operations.

SEPATON foresees rapid growth for the company with a significant presence in Beijing.  The new office operates under the direction of General Manager, Mark Zhai, a former executive in the storage industry who has extensive knowledge of the Chinese market.  Already, SEPATON systems are installed in the two largest insurance companies in China, including China Life Insurance Company and PICC Property and Casualty Company; and two of the top five banks in China, including China Construction Bank and China Agriculture Bank.  During the past two years, SEPATON has won more than 20 customers and secured 30 installations in China.

The planned London office opening follows the establishment of distributors and resellers in the UK, Scandinavia, South Africa, UAE, Poland, Israel, and Turkey.  Partners in Germany, France and Benelux will be added during 2007. These partners market SEPATON’s family of data protection solutions, including its flagship S2100®-ES2 virtual tape library (VTL), to their existing customer bases and to prospective customers through joint marketing initiatives.  Managing Director, Jon Mills, a 30 year veteran of the IT industry with extensive server and storage experience, manages SEPATON’s EMEA operations based in London.
